What Death Taught Me About Life
Conference Keynote
Service Description
Ryan Jensen’s story of resilience began long before his career in law enforcement and death investigation. Born at just 26 weeks and later losing his father to drugs at the age of 16, Ryan learned early that adversity is part of life. Growing up while navigating personal challenges—including ADHD and early loss—helped shape the resilience and perspective that would later define his career and purpose. For more than two decades, Ryan has worked on the front lines of tragedy, standing beside families on the worst days of their lives. As a public safety professional and death investigator, he has helped homicide victims’ families and crime victims navigate unimaginable loss. Ryan has also assisted families impacted by the Annunciation tragedy in finding resources and support during their most difficult moments. These experiences have given him a rare perspective on grief, resilience, and the strength people discover when facing adversity. In this powerful keynote, Ryan shares deeply personal stories and lessons drawn from both his life and career. Through these experiences, audiences gain insight into resilience, leadership during crisis, and the importance of compassion when supporting others through grief and trauma. Blending personal tragedy with professional experience, Ryan challenges audiences to see adversity not as something that defines us, but as something that can shape our strength, purpose, and ability to serve others.
