Choices That Shape Your Future
How small decisions today can impact the rest of your life (Drug Prevention)
Service Description
In this powerful and relatable presentation, Ryan Jensen shares his personal journey of resilience and the life-changing lessons he has learned from both personal tragedy and a career in public safety. Born at just 26 weeks and growing up navigating challenges like ADHD, Ryan learned early that life does not always begin on an easy path. At the age of 16, Ryan lost his father to drugs—an experience that deeply impacted his life and perspective on addiction and the choices people make. Rather than allowing that loss to define his future, Ryan used it as motivation to pursue a career helping others. As a forensic autopsy technician and death investigator, he has seen firsthand how small decisions involving drugs and alcohol can lead to devastating consequences for individuals, families, and entire communities. Through honest stories, real-life experiences, and practical guidance, Ryan connects with students in a way that is authentic and impactful. His message encourages students to think critically about the choices they make today and how those decisions can shape their future. This presentation empowers students to build resilience, make healthy choices, and understand that their decisions today have the power to shape the life they live tomorrow.
